Job Description:
Monitor and maintain daily health of network infrastructure.
Provide L1 support for SonicWall and Sophos firewalls including rule modifications, basic troubleshooting, and reporting.
Perform first-level troubleshooting for LAN/WAN issues.
Handle routine tasks related to routing & switching (VLANs, trunking, static routing, etc.).
Assist in maintaining documentation of network topology, IP schema, and hardware inventory.
Coordinate with L2/L3 teams and vendors for escalation and resolution of major issues.
Support VPN configuration and troubleshooting for end users.
Conduct periodic patching, firmware updates, and maintenance under supervision.
Monitor and report on network utilization and suggest optimizations if required.
Required Skills:
Basic understanding and hands-on experience with SonicWall and Sophos firewalls.
Good knowledge of network fundamentals: OSI model, IP addressing, subnetting, NAT, routing & switching.
Experience with Cisco / HP / Ubiquiti switches and routers.
Familiarity with firewall access rules, NAT policies, VPN setup.
Basic command-line experience for switch/router configuration.
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
Networking certifications like CCNA, Sophos Certified Engineer, or SonicWall CSSA (preferred but not mandatory).
5–6 years of relevant experience in network operations or support.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts and work from office.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
