Job Description:
Trigyn has a contractual opportunity for Network Equipment Support. This resource will be working anywhere in Africa.
Job Responsibilities:
I. The contracted staff member would be required to test, install and maintain the client Data Network in the area of operation.
2. Installation and configuration of a complete network in various offices, and administration of the network once installed. The network would include but not limited to the following equipment:
-Cisco LAN switches from Catalyst series (layer II and III switching), Cisco routers.
-Hewlett Packard Windows Servers
-Installation and maintenance of WinNT/Win2000 (PDC, BDC, Dl-ICP, DNS, WINS, IIS, Proxy, Web, FTP, etc.), LAN administration and management;
-Installation and management of VoIP, CISCO-based networks;
-Network Protocol TCP/IP, IPX/SPX
-Allocation/assignment and IP address management, Internet access;
-1011 0011 000 Mbps Network hubs/switches maintenance and deployment;
-Cat5e / Fiber Optic cabling
-Cable installation and LAN testing for 100/1000 Mbps connectivity;
-Network printers and desktop printers
-Installation and sharing in the LAN, connecting users to network resources;
-Candidate should be an MCP Windows NT Workstation/Server, preferably MCSE + Internet. In addition to that, CCNA and/or CCDA would be a plus.
3. The technician should have a working knowledge of Intra and Internetworking concepts in so far as it applies to Data Communications, experience with CISCO networking equipment and applicable CISCO and other IT industry certifications. Technical college certification or University degree is required.
4. Must have a national drivers licence for a light motor vehicle.
5. Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required.
