Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Software Analyst / Test Analyst in Albany, NY.
Description:
The consultant will be involved in performing the following tasks:
• Automating test scripts executions.
• Test data set creation.
• Writing and executing Test Cases.
• Researching, resolving, and testing defects.
• Participating in all phases of the Systems development life cycle including Application Testing (Unit, Functional, Integration, User Acceptance Testing) and Performance Testing.
• Review Requirement documents.
• Perform Solution Exploration.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing
• Creating test plans and test cases
• Identifying functional defects
• Performing regression testing
• Assisting with UAT
• Creating other quality assurance documents.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents.
• Liaises between the software users and the software developers.
• Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include: working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 Months of experience working on complex projects with 24 months or more in a leadership role as a Testing Analyst that includes preparing documentation, reviews, and approvals of test results from key stakeholders using industry standard methods.
• 84 Months of client focused quality assurance managing testing across multiple high-profile projects, with complex functional domains, within a matrix organization.
• 60 Months of experience developing test plans, test cases, tracking defects and developing automated tests, preferably in a software development environment.
• 60 Months of experience with tools such as Jira, Jira-related plug-ins or Application Lifecycle Management/Quality Center as the defect tracking and test planning tools.
• 60 Months of experience with configuring automated testing using tools such as Selenium or Katalon Studio or related tools.
• 36 Months of experience leading and managing functional test planning and test execution activities with a focus on Health and Human Service domain.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in Information Technology or related fields.
