Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive L2 System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our organization's IT infrastructure at the second line of support. This role requires expertise in system administration, problem resolution, and collaboration with L1 support teams to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
System Administration:

Manage and maintain Windows, Linux, and macOS systems.
Perform regular system updates, patch management, and backups.
Ensure high availability and optimal performance of servers and applications.
Troubleshooting and Support:

Handle escalated incidents from L1 support, ensuring timely resolution.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Coordinate with third-party vendors for advanced support and warranty claims.
Infrastructure Management:

Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, or similar.
Support virtualization platforms (e.g.Nutanix, VMware) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure,).
Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
Manage antivirus systems, firewalls, and endpoint security.
Perform routine audits to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and incident reports.
Generate periodic reports on system health, performance, and security metrics.
Collaboration:

Work closely with L1 and L3 support teams for knowledge sharing and escalations.
Participate in IT projects such as system migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure support or system administration.

Proficiency in:
Operating systems: Windows Server, Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
Networking: TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, firewalls.
Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V.
Tools: Active Directory, SCCM, PowerShell scripting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills
Certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
Experience with ITIL frameworks for incident, problem, and change management.
